✨ Queer Vermont ✨

Over the past month, I’ve had the privilege of meeting with community members, leaders, activists, and creators across Vermont. Listening to your stories, dreams, concerns, and insights has been both inspiring and humbling. In a time when our very existence is challenged, along with the stability of our organizations, institutions, and world, the resilience of our community remains nothing short of breathtaking. I, too, feel the weight of our current reality and the urgency of determining the steps that will best strengthen our collective future. What does love, resistance, and strength look like in the years ahead? How do we cultivate Queer joy and create lasting positive change, not just for ourselves but for the generations to come?

The 2025 Outreach Survey, alongside these conversations, has reconfirmed a fundamental need: sustainable, accessible, and thriving Queer infrastructure. This encompasses everything from trusted communication networks to vibrant community hubs and equitable housing, designed by and for the 2STLGBQIA+ community, including BIPOC, disabled, Two-Spirit, low-income, and rural Queer individuals. These insights have shaped our new brand transformation and a thoughtful, holistic path forward for growth.

We envision a future where every person has access to spaces for connection, safety, and liberation. The Queer communications platform we are building will prioritize accessibility, privacy, and safety, ensuring that public events reach people where they are while recognizing that some spaces require more private channels. As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering community in ways that are both inclusive and intentional.

Our collective action has the power to change the world. It will not happen overnight, but the roadmap we are creating together will guide us there. To explore the survey results please see the graphic below, and to be informed about the latest projects we are working on subscribe at QueerVt.org

With gratitude,
